Folks,

Getting all excited with the dual boot, SEE3 patched, smooth running install...

However, still very frustated with one or two things, including the 1024x780 resolution.

Running it on a HP laptop with an ATI Radeon 9200 which should go up to 1280x1024 on the external monitor and 1280x800 on the laptop wide screen.

Tried to "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32" upon darwin boot but that doesn't help...

Thanks in advance.

Just for further discussion, support of 1280x1024 was fine when runnning under VMware and is missing since booting on his own native partition. So if VMware was able to emulate the video card which OSX would select the correct driver for, there should be a an easy way, isn't it?????????

I've got 1280x1024x32 on a Dell desktop - not laptop. At the boot prompt, try the ?video (or video?) which should give you the video modes OSX sees from your card. Anything that shows up there should work. The correct (and only way AFAIK) to set the graphics mode at the boot prompt is to enter the following (including the quotes):

"Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32"

Obviously, if you try the ?video and don't see that as an available resolution, try something else. But, the command line must look like that. Once you find a resoltuion you like, you can set it by editing a file - see the Wiki for info...
