MrDee
OK, so I just reinstalled, minusing the AMD patches and video drivers. Now its at the Apple logo. But the pin wheel is spinning rather slowly, is this normal? iSkylla
You'll need the AMD drivers but honestly, I'm not sure if Turion is even compatible. MrDee
You'll need the AMD drivers but honestly, I'm not sure if Turion is even compatible. Hey iSkylla, thanks for the prompt reply. Well, some Google results have shown success with 10.5.2 Kalyway on Turion, so I guess its at least worth a try with the patches. Less hope it works this time, I have a lot of work ahead of me, because I need to restore my Complete PC Backup of Vista after this. Vista was giving me pure problems shrinking its partition. Wanna dual boot the two badly. MrDee
Well, it installed! Darn slow and buggy. Contextual menus would just disappear when I hover the mouse pointer over them, this also happens with drop down menus too. I checked System Profiler, said my Graphics card is installed and supported buts its slow. I am talking 256 MB ATI Radeon x1600 mobility and 2GBs of RAM and an Turion X2 processor. Any suggestions on why this is happening? Also, I notice there are no options in Kalyway to install components post installation like the additional software or even patches like the video card driver first presented during installation. Thanks again to everyone for the help. Skyper
Does it say that QE/CI is supported in system profiler? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/101059-installed-successfully-but-i-am-stuck-at-following-line/#findComment-721149 Share on other sites
MrDee
Does it say that QE/CI is supported in system profiler? Hi Skyper, thanks for the reply Oops, I should have realized, no it does not. Well, I am doing a Complete PC Restore of Vista right now and I am going to attempt another go at Leopard after thats done. You think this issue with video card could also be attributed to why my touch pad is buggy when hovering the mouse pointer over menus? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/101059-installed-successfully-but-i-am-stuck-at-following-line/#findComment-721192 Share on other sites
Skyper
Yes this is the issue you are having , you can get QE/CI with installing some kexts for your card. MrDee
Hey Skyper, Thanks for the update. Well, I know that Leopard can install just fine on the machine, but I am having some problems with partitioning. You said Kext for my video card. I thought the Radeon drivers that come with Kalyway are already compatible. Thing is, for the second install, I didn't select them. ATI Mobility Radeon x1600 - 256 MB As for the current setup, I am back on Vista at the moment, I plan on obtaining Acronis Disk Director and setup a partition. I was hoping Complete PC backup would restore to a provided partition, but it deleted the other logical partition I had also setup for Leopard. Skyper
You might need to add the device id of your card which can be found in system profiler. When you get Leopard ready and running PM me. MrDee
Good evening, Ok, I have Leopard and Vista x64 successfully dual booted, but Leopard is stuck at the following line and won't budge, I am wondering if I should just wait it out. CODE SIGNING: CS_invalid_page: p=143[lssave] clearing CS_VALID I waited at a similar line the last time and it went on to the OOBE but this one seems to be taking longer than usual. Update I rebooted in Single user mode and used the following commands to finish setup: mount -uw /touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone passwd root enter a root password now type exit It started spewing out a list of commands stopping at the following: CODE SIGNING: CS_invalid_page: p=103[lssave] clearing CS_VALID Any idea what could be going on here? I am at the brink of just restoring my Complete PC Backup because it seems like Leopard and my laptop aren't meant to be.
