I have the same problem :(

I don't know what I did. But suddenly it didn't want to boot. It hangs up with the same message.

The single user mode is workable (-s), but it is only bash in a yet another UNIX-system...

What's the problem???

My comp:

Samsung X05 (Intel Pentium M 1,5 GHz Banias, 256 RAM, i855G chipset, wifi, bluetooth usb dongle)

Before this my system booted in normal mode w/o problems.

I now seem to be having the same problem as the two of you! I'm really surprised at this considering my machine is practically a "developer kit" machine. I can't seem to think of anything that would have suddenly caused this hangup. The blue "loading" bar slowly creeps over to the right side and then just seems to hang forever.

The only thing I did out of the ordinary was install Quicktime 7 Pro. After installation, I was forced to restart from the installer. hmm, any ideas on how to remedy this?
