I just bought off the dell outlet myself and I got a netgear gigabit card and Gefore 7300 from newegg on the way. Should all be here thursday. Yours must already have an extra video card? The new Leo4allV3 says that it supports the Intel on-board ethernet, but it is only 100M and I want gigabit.
AnonymousOne
Thanks for getting back to me. Mine came with the nVidia as stock but I bought it 5/6 months ago. The ethernet will be a pain, but Im installing now and typing this from my mums laptop so I'll keep updated. Just as I was finishing that post I got something like "things couldnt be installed on OS/Volumes" :S
AnonymousOne
Ok, so its installed after around 4 to 6 tries lol. Now its the Welcome video, then its asking for the country and region etc. and then it gets to the "Do You Already Own A Mac" screen. So I've tryed every option but it just freezes and restarts at the Welcome video lol.

Mine arrives tommorrow but i do have a evga geforce 7650gt spare but it needs a more powerful power supply and space in the 530s could be an issue

Im getting my system today and will be wiping and installing osx straight away.
blatz
Hey Anonymousone, Can I ask why it took you 4 to 6 times to install? Im getting my system today and will be wiping and installing osx straight away. Got mine today. I installed the netgear gigabit and the MSI Gefore 7300LE. I installed with Leo4AllV3... I had install twice because I was dumb... first install I just did it and didn't choose ANY options. You need.. Intel ICH chipset Nvidia drivers that match your video card ALC888 audio I used the 9.2.2 kernel, but I don't think this is needed. Everything else was default. P.S. My netgear is realtek based, but the on board ethernet is intel. Leo4allV3 does have the intel driver as an option, but I didn't use it. That is it. Mine also arrived today and I never even booted into the Vista setup {censored} it came with. Works like a charm and is stuper faster than my 1.42ghz(solder upgrade from 1.25ghz) G4 mini and quieter. Mine also said 320gb disk on the outlet store, but has a 500gb disk instead. BONUS!

nogaroblues4
I got my 530s working on the third try, I am still trying to figure out how to install the kext to get my ethernet to work, I can't figure out my root password.
UnaClocker
Wow, you guys lucked out. I bought my 530s a little over a year ago, and the damn thing came with an AMD CPU. Totally worthless for running OSX on it. I ended up tossing an Atom motherboard into the machine, now it's the best hackintosh (compatibility wise) I've ever built. As for making the 7300LE work, I have that in my main hackintosh. It's very very compatible (mine is even MSI too), what you need to do is go back to vanilla video kexts, and just use EFIStrings.. (OSX86Tools has that card listed, simply select it from the list and it will update your boot plist accordingly) iATKOS 5i is the best distro you can use, it has EFI strings built into the installer, so you can be up and running on the first boot. AnonymousOne
9-10 months on and it's still going strong. Has served me well on many occasions and without I probably would have failed my last college unit. I've had no problems except ones I've caused myself such as deleting important files aha. Runs a legitimate copy of Logic perfectly etc. My firewire audio interface, midi keyboard etc. all run perfect. I can't say much more except I'm so grateful to the people that made it all possible and that helped (Aha I sound like I'm accepting an Oscar). I'm still running Kalyway 10.5.2 so I need to sort that out, if anyone knows how I would go about doing this, let me know.
