Seven Silhouette Posted April 21, 2008 Share Posted April 21, 2008 I can now (as of about an hour ago) confirm that the Compaq Presario C714NR Notebook works "out of box" with the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD. Installed and booting from external USB drive (zeroed out partition). Graphics (QE/CI) working as is (didn't install drivers from disc), sound working (speakers only, no input or headphone). Also, keyboard keys for volume control are working as well. Ethernet works, haven't tried wireless yet. vanilla kernel, cpus=1 fix. Keyboard and touchpad working all the way through the process, including separate USB mouse. Pretty solid install. Running ok, only a little slow from streaming from the external. Power management installed from DVD. Cool.
