Gtellabs
well my previous post is now solved broken dvd drive....now i have another which seems to be simple maybe not.. the install went fine im using the "Kalyway_10.5.2_DVD_Intel_Amd" got it burnt popped it in selected the appropriate patches and off she went.. installed without a hitch... after the first reboot after install i removed the dvd which some people seem to have a problem and have to leave it in upon bootup.. well i removed it and she still booted fine.got past all the bootup text and then when it seemed to be going into the graphical mode "not sure on that" i got a blank screen but the computer was still working hdd was being used for at least another 45seconds-min and then it went calm with the occasional blip of the light when there is activity on the hdd but it never came back on no graphics at all i tried rebooting but still the same thing... i selected the nvidia patch upon install i have a 7950 gx2 4 gigs of ram msi k9n sli platinum motherboard amd athlon 64 4600+ cpu creative audigy 2 zs sound card and a few other bells and whistles anybody got an idea... it seems to me to be a graphics issue the pc is still working after the screen goes dark... im a noobie at all this so anyhelp would be great.
