Boot Camp
I have my Q6600 CPU OC'd to 3.0 GHz. It let's me set my RAM to 899 MHz (or something like that), but when I set it to 1000 MHz and reboot, I get an overclock/overvoltage error. Whats wrong? BigPimpin
That error comes from OSX? There are a gazillion boards on the net that deal with overclocking, but this isn't one of them. I think the answer you're going to ultimately get is not to crank it up that high. There are all sorts of reasons why your mobo bios won't let you do that. zarac
i'm using almost the same mobo as you - ds3l (if your sig is updated), so the bios settings should be the same. i have also oc'ed my q6600 to 3.0 (333*9), and my ram SPD is set to 3.2 (equals 1066 hmz), but i had to give additional 0.2 volts to it (DDR2 OverVoltage control) but then, my ram is kingston mars 1066, so it supports that SPD clock.
