Hi, I tried installing on a Windows Partition, but still no go. The windows partition is NTFS

Also, I booted the machine from third partition running Windows XP and cross checked the MAC address there and it is the same. So, I am pretty sure that it is picking up the correct MAC addresses.

after typing the command mentioned in partition with ba:ad:f0:0d:ba:ad, i get - 466 ?? S 0:01.00 tcpdump -i en2 658 s000 R+ 0:00.00 grep tcpdump from partition in question, the result is 123 ?? S 0:00.09 tcpdump -i en1 202 s000 R+ 0:00.00 grep tcpdump network_test.zip

Device id is 14e4 1693 for kext, the terminal answer is --- 65 0 0x41580000 0x15000 0x14000 com.apple.iokit.AppleBCM5787MEthernet (2.1.0d21) <64 17 6 5 4 2> When i use istat pro widget, under network pane, it shows network activity and total data movement in and out. If you know what all kexts or any other files control the network card, I propose to make a zip file of those kexts and you or anybody may try on their system and let me know what kext has led to this solution.

Hi, I am using Acer Aspire 4710 laptop which has the BCM 5787M LAN interface. I did a new install of 10.5.1 and updated to 10.5.8 and I found that now in System Profiler I can see the correct MAC address and it is catching the IP address automatically using DNS. Infact I have 2 installations of OSX86 on the same machine on different partitions and the other partition cannot get the MAC address and shows ba:ad:f0:0d:ba:ad. Any ideas which kext/kexts I should use to get correct MAC on the other partition? Eesh Dewan

acer 4710 laptop with gma950. laptop display and vga out works with complete resolutions changes, qe, ci and absolutely no artefacts. using natit. updated to 10.5.3 using kalyway update and also had the graphic updates done from apple site.

i am on acer crystal eye webcam on my aspire 4710 laptop. i could see a part of the frame in login options when i installed 10.4.9 whose kext i have uploaded. not even that lucky in 10.4.8, 10.5.1 or 10.5.2. tried macam, but no go. let me know if i can be of any help.

i think you were asking for this file from 10.4.9 install. hope you find a solution for the webcam riddle. IOUSBFamily.kext.rar
