lizkin
Hi Guys, Im trying around nearly every possible solutions using hex-editor, plist editor and so on... Its really a hassle. I really read ALL and also tried them in almost every variation, but i still don't manage to enable QE/CI Does maybe one of you has got a hint how to get it working? I'm using a HP NX9420 with an ATI x1600 mobility (0x71c5), PCIe, 256mb in conjunction with JAS 10.5.4 and the voodo XNU 9.4 kernel. I managed to get the full resolution of 1680x1050 so far, but neither res change, QE or CI is working properly. If I hex edit the ATIRadeonX1000.kext, and several Info.plists the closest thing I get is a blue screen with a mouse pointer on it (if it starts at all) Thats also what I get, when I using the Empty Skull, or koslovsky kexts... Could anyone have a look to my kexts? and which ones are really needed to get it running? There are many different options mentioned here... Thanks in advance, lizkin ati_bak.zip
lizkin
ok... so I finally got it working somehow. after sleepless nights of hex editing and edid copying I finally got QE/CI running. But it seems only to be active after I started parallels once... ?!? Is there any system event wich enables QE/CI at a certain time? Or is it active on boot? regards, lizkin ati_x1600_mob.zip
MILAN0
Hi mate I've got the same HP NX9420 and of course 71c5 1002 ATI x1600 mobile on my laptop. It works with qe/ci enabled with 1680*1050. I can post you kexts if you need. But it works under 10.5.2 kalyway vanilla kernell. ATIinject.kext rules my video. I still got no dual display under VGA Out.
