macindude
I have a good working install of JaS 10.4.8 on my machine. I'd like to be able to run the newest iTunes and Safari, so I'd like to update to 10.4.11. What's the easiest way to do this? My System: Dell Optiplex GX270 P4 3.0GHZ HT 1.0GB Kingston PC3200 ATI 9800PRO AGP 128MB Thanks.

twmsdude
Hey guys. One solution you can use to "update" is to use a version changer for os x. What this does is makes it so osx thinks it's another version. Beware that this may break things. Although in my practice, it has worked nothing other than beautifully. iTunes works flawlessly. I would recommend using the 10.4.11 or 10.4.9 option as using the 10.5 option could cause problems. Also. When you finish installing the "patch" you dont have to reboot. Just restart/start the programs and all should be well. Enjoy. http://rapidshare.com/files/95709554/JSN1_...r.mpkg.rar.html I believe the user to have come up with this is JSN1. Type that in the forum search to find the original post/author. I am running 10.4.8 JaS myself. I am not responsible for anything that could happen to your system through the use of this software. Suzie's Soliloquy
Does this allow us to update to safari 3? Yes it does, you can install (and usually run) any application with a higher OS requirement using this method (and similar manual methods)
