wcmary
Hi, I am trying to use OSX 4.6 in VMWare but am getting nowhere. I've made an ISO of my legally purchased 10.4.6 DVD (using Toast), and can't get it to work using any tutorial method. I've mounted the ISO using Daemon Tools Pro, made the mods to the vmx file, adjusted VMWare to see the virtual image (not the ISO directly), and it never sees the disc. It goes past the CD booting option, straight into the hard drive (on which I have Windows XP). Therefore, I cannot do anything at the Darwin prompt since it doesn't even get to Darwin. I am able to burn DVD's from the ISO that will install on a Mac, so I know it is not a corrupted ISO. I am sure the solution is simple. Is the solution to use some hacked copy that I'm supposed to have? If this is the case, is there anyway I can create this special disc from the legal one I have, or do I have to download something else? Thanks, WC Mary
~pcwiz
See the problem is you are using a legal ISO. Unfortunately, you have to use a hacked ISO which can be found on torrent sites. Obtain an ISO called JaS 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 PPF1 and PPF2. Then follow my guide: http://######.com/software/vmwareosx86.htm
