Mebster
Keep in mind, the more libraries you start loading (mixing gnome and kde) gtk/qt wil start to slow down apps and consume more memory. But wouldn't that only happen if they were loaded at the same time? I assumed you couldn't have that done. Otherwise assumed it was like having two XP themes running at the same time. How would that work?
asap18
Correct, but I assumed you installed both to run apps from both at the same time.
Prawker
I like Gnome and Ubuntu. I like Gnome because its more light-weight. And not to flashy like KDE, Although the new version of KDE with all this Plasma And Oxygen stuff they have going on, it looks pretty good. If they improve the performance then i might just switch back. I like Ubuntu over Kubuntu because it comes with Gnome. I used to use Simply MEPIS Linux until i discovered how well Ubuntu ran on my POS computer i had at the time. Plus it was a lot easier to use for a linux n00b such as I.
