i've heard that you can use your ipod as a computer startup drive --
i was wondering if anyone on this site has done this and hot to go about doing this - i want to boot up something other than win xp in school - i cant do much with the way they restricted the OS

I think that'll be too slow to do anything, and you'll be straining your ipod way too much. Besides, it is not designed to be read from and written to as vigorously as an OS would require it to, you'll be severly wearing it down.

thats a handy link....im gonna try it on my USB stick pen thingy, not my iPod....heard about it wearing the HD out.
