I was wondering if anyone here was willing to help me on my quest to build a media center pc (to run osx86) for ~$500

I plan on using it for casual gaming so that is why I am not getting a mac mini.  This pc is to compliment my ibook.

here is what I was looking at so far from newegg.

WINTEC AMPO 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model 3AMD2667-1G2-R - Retail

$93.99

Intel Pentium D 820 Smithfield 2.8GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80551PG2800FN - Retail

$99.00

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200KS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

+

COOLMAX CT-450N ATX12V 450W Power Supply - Retail

$114.9

together

I still need

motherboard

graphics card

case

I haven't done anything with pcs in so long I'm not sure what I'm doing.

pentium serie d 820-830-840 need too much power..and they are super hot, not a good choiche for a multimedia pc...take a normal p 3.2 3.4

or serie d 930-945....i've heard they are a bit better...but i'd stay away from first generation dual core...and i've one..
