A Nonny Moose
OK, if you've read this months Macworld, you already know this, but in case you didn't: 1. Did you know there is a folder in your (user name) /library/caches folder called Dashboard Client? 2. If you look in there, you'll see a bunch of {censored} that Dashboard dutifully keeps (because Dashboard is little more than an overglorified web browser). Delete all the {censored} in this folder for a temporary speed boost. 3. For a permanent speed boost, hit command-I to get info and then lock the folder. This means Dashboard can't write into the cache folder, thus removing any speed issues.
