Spyro
I just installed it, hoping it worked better than JaS...but when I try to boot I get only a blinking cursor on the corner, what gives? installing went perfectly fine, in fact I can now modify files from PC using MacDrive (cannot do this with JaS) Any clue about this blinking cursor thing? thanks! My gForce card is 256mb BTW Edited January 16, 2007 by Spyro

bushmills
Nice Release, first i tested JAS 10.4.7 Release .. with "Still waiting for root device" -Error after complete installation. So then i tested tubgirl-10.4.8. and it works in dualboot with winxp. My Intel-Pro 100 network card was not working after install, but with the 10.4.3 IONetworkingFamily-kext-zip from nody i got it to work in one minute. ( http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...537&st=380# ) ow it shows it as built in network card. My Ati Radeon 8500 AGP works only in 1024x768 and my Soundblaster is still without Sound. Maybe i will find a solution, but the start was very nice. Hardware: S939 3000+ Venice See3 - Asrock DUAL-Sata2 - Uli M1695 Chipset, Intel Pro 100 network, Radeon 8500 AGP
me@home
Yes it is better than the new JaS DVD. It runs alot better on my system than the latest JaS. yeah, same on my pc and most funny this dvd even runs better than JAS on my core2duo notebook ! on NB I have sound (patch for realtek), GForce Go 1280x800 QE+CI (titan patch), Lan (Broadcom patch), only thing missing is WIFI but Intel 3945 might be :pirate2: however it's a mini pci card, will try to get another one...about € 20.- I HOPE Tubgirl will release more stuff ! Mathington
So those who had the "Still waiting for Root Device" error what did you do to fix it so you could boot natively? Right now I am running through VMWare but its pretty slow at the moment and can't change the screen resolution. I would LOVE to boot natively, anyone have any suggestions? My system Specs are: AMD 3800+ AM2 ASUS M2N-e Nfroce 550 motherboard 1 gig DDR2 6400 ATI X1900XT 512 mb 250 gig WD Hard Drive (SATA) 100 gig Maxtor Hard Drive (SATA)
pandnaka
Hey peoples, I use the latest Jas, it work fine with my sytem, I have no issue at all, except video card, Audio, and network, and that normal!!! Abit AT832X 64 X2 4600+ 2gig of Samsung Rams Ati 1950 pro, <<<< I'll replace this card later with Nvidia card!!!! Everything working fine now, sound and network are working after patching!!! But my system is refusing to run Microsoft Windows, XP,and Vista. It would just hang during installation or it would just give me a BSOD!!!! OSX run fine!!!
