Zoig
Hello, I'm trying to install OSX on ma Lenovo 3000 C100 laptop. problem is, that since my laptop can't boot from OSX DVD I'm stuck with VMware installation. so far, I have followed that guide ( http://blog.adonias.cl/leer.php?id=72 , (actually i dont speek spanish, but that's why online translators are for )) currently im stuck with OSX disk utility, it recognises all my 3 partitions(60gb win, 10gb OSX and 4.6gb IBM restore). OSX partition is logical and it is formated to FAT32(it was NTFS before, but i stil got same error). when i try to format it to Mac OS extended journaled with disk utility, i receive an error message: Volume Erase failed Volume erase failed with the error: Could not write partition map has anyone got an idea what should i try? i thought to swap my hdd to a laptop witch can boot from osx dvd, but since all of my other laptops are AMD not intel based, i think that this kind of installation would not work(AMD/intel kernel differences maybe) my lenovos conf: celeron M 370(1.5Ghz), 512MB ram, 80gb hdd, GMA900, wifi, BT etc.
np101137
Which DVD are you using? You have to use a different Disk Uitility than the one on the 10.4.8 DVD, because it doesnt work. So use the Disk Utility from another Disc...
