androcat7
I have Dell Inspiron N5010 with components like this: Intel Core i3-M370 CPU 2 x 2GB RAM 250GB WD Hard Drive Intel HD Graphics (GMA HD) Dell 365 Bluetooth Dell DW 1501 WLAN card (Replaced it to DW1510 and works like charm!) Before I changed my wifi card, my laptop was prone to sound like 747 taking off, and it also encountered sudden shutdown. (About after using laptop for about 30 minutes, it shut down) However, after I replaced my WiFi card and booted my laptop, fan sound had reduced significantly and sudden shutdown has not occurred until now (Used for about +1hour...) I am curious why my laptop's overheat problem was resolved after changing a component that does not seem to play a significant role on overheating issues. Did you had similar experiences? Allan
Maybe when you opened your Laptop, the dust in your coolers fans has been removed.
