Installazione pulita su z77pro4.

Ciao a tutti

provengo da una installazione pulita e tenuta per molti mesi della 10.9 a cui un giorno malauguratamente feci un update... e da allora tutto si piantò.

Detto questo e considerando che non vorrei perdere troppo tempo nel sistemare quel sistema, il mio pc è il seguente

asrock z77pro4

geforce 660 gtx

i5-3570k

crucial m4 128gb ( interamente riservato al sistema mac ).

Che suggerimenti avete per eseguire una installazione pulita di el Captain ?

E' cambiato qualcosa? Io avevo grossissimi problemi quando installai la 10.9, con le schede grafiche. In poche parole oltre all'installazione togliendo la 660 per poi reinserirla, se non erro fui costretto anche ad eliminare tutti i kext delle varie altre vga nel sistema.

L'hardware è compatibile, non dovrebbero esserci grossi problemi...

Penso che le "cose" siano decisamente migliorate....

Avvia con -v e fai la foto al blocco che ti si presenta, probabilmente dovrai avviare con nv_disable=1

Le gtx 650/660 di solito si comportano come fossero schede native

Da provare senza alcun inject riguardo alla grafica oppure successivamente con inject nvidia

(da non usare cavo VGA)

Conosco un po le Z77 e sono ottime. Visto che ti riferisci a Mavericks ho la sensazione che tu sia ancora a chameleon. Ti consiglio caldamente di passare a Clover se fosse così, per l'installazione segui la guida in firma a gengik. El cap funziona benissimo sulla tua scheda

Tra l'altro ho un piccolo problema, ricordo di aver avuto grossi problemi quando ad un update, lo stesso entrò in conflitto con i driver nvidia che avevo, era un problema noto e infatti sconsigliavano di fare l'update.

Ora non ricordo come si fa... e me ne vergogno un po'... ma come si sostituiscono i driver nvidia manualmente avendo accesso solo al mac drive? E soprattutto... che driver metto ? Oo

Per i driver nvidia devi sempre aspettare che vengano aggiornati prima di fare l'update. Comunque la tua scheda dovrebbe funzionare tranquillamente con i driver originali per cui puoi disabilitare i driver web dal pannello preferenze e togliere nv_drv=1. Così non avrai più problemi.

Non hai detto se sei con chameleon o Clover però?

alla fine sono riuscito ad entrare nel sistema con -v- x nv_disable=1

ora vedo di creare il disco di avvio.

In ogni caso il mio problema ( che cercando ho capito fosse cosa comune ) è che avevo aggiornato alla 10.9.5 e i driver nvidia non venivano riconosciuti con quella versione. Quindi avevo smanettato un po' e avevo sicuramente fatto casino con i numeri delle versioni.

Quindi a questo punto, creo il disco di avvio con questo sistema, formatterò tutto e installerò una copia pulita con el captain.

Dovrebbe funzionare tutto nella mia configurazione dicevi no?

Riavvia senza usare nv_disable=1 e senza inject nvidia.

Togli anche nvda_drv=1 dal config di Clover se è presente.

É strano in quanto in nessuna config.plist ho inserito nvda_drv=1 ma continua inesorabilmente a comparire come boot arg

al riavvio ho dovuto resettare di nuovo i boot arg in quanto ancora presente in nvram

Ricontrolla che nella nvram non ci sia nvda_drv=1, poi guarda la foto che ti posto, accertati di non avere nvda_drv=1 nelle Kernel Flags:

Dal pannello di controllo Nvidia seleziona i drivers di sistema, poi rifai il comando sudo nvram -d boot-args, riavvia.

allego il config di clover. mi sa che c'è qualcosa di sbagliato. E' come se non prendesse la config da questo file ( in efi/clover )

edit: non posso accedere al pannello nvidia in quanto mi dice che c'è un errore e devo reinstallare i driver.

A questa domanda non so risponderti, in quanto solo tu puoi sapere come e dove hai installato Clover.

Se clover non carica il config corrente, bisogna correggerlo.

Il problema è che dubito altamente sia il file di configurazione che attualmente carica e sta usando. Non so come fare a capire quale sia quello corretto e soprattutto dove.
