Monq
I downloaded the .app from the App Store, launched it, and after I reboot, I reach an empty grey screen with the spinning wheel of death forever. I updated Clover to the last version and stuff, it didn't help.
fusion71au
@Monq, Did you remember to put FakeSMC.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11 or Other? Do you have a screenshot booting in verbose mode? What are your hardware specs/settings in Clover config.plist? Please put in sig .
Monq
FakeSMC was there already, system boots, just does not do anything after showing the spinning wheel of death. I don't have anything special in config.plist other than what I need to make my ATI card work.
Slice
"the spinning wheel of death" means absent of FakeSMC.
Monq
First, please correct me if wrong, but if you get to see it, the GUI has started, and that means DSMOS is there. https://www.google.com/search?q=spinning+wheel+of+death&es_sm=93&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAWoVChMIlP-joLC_yAIVAogaCh1VMg80&biw=1366&bih=677 Second, I see the "DSMOS has arrived" message so it's there. Anyway, thanks for your help, but I have noticed how buggy El Capitan still is (no support for ATI, USB broken, etc.) so I have decided not to upgrade until those problems are fixed. I have ElCapitan on separate drive but not used. My main system is Mavericks.
Monq
That's what I was thinking... To go back to Mavericks and forget about Yosemite/El Capitan. It's just not worth it.
