Craig Pettigrove
I have tried everything I know to get my sound working, but no good. I am using clover R2953 (Latest). My kext is ALC 898. Is the only way to get back to the native kext for Apple HDA to install Yosemite again? I would rather not do that as I have now finally got Imessage working. I am not using a DSDT. Any suggestions would be a big help.
Mirone
As you do not use a DSDT in its config file you must inject the ID of your onboard Audio card. <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>9</string> </dict> use my kext to yosemite, ALC898. Craig Pettigrove
Thanks for the response and advice Mirone. I went ahead and added into my config.plist. I also added in your kext AppleHDA-266.5-ALC898. However there is still no input and output showing for my Audio. What else should I try. <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>9</string> </dict> What does it mean when it says "AppleHDA.kext has invalid signature; omitting" When rebuilding Cache using chris1111 install kext Yosemite? Mirone
. THIS FLAG IS MANDATORY: kext-dev-mode=
Craig Pettigrove
Mirone - Thanks for your help and everything solved once I entered kext-dev-mode=1. If you could answer one last question for me that would be great. I am booting off my GTX 760 GPU and using HDMI Audio. I really miss not being able to control my volume via my Mac Wireless keyboard as I am not plugging into IGFX and using my HD4600/built in Line Out Audio ports. What are my options. Is it basically choosing my GTX 760/HDMI Audio/No Mac Keyboard control for Audio or HD4600/Line Out Audio/Mac Wireless Keyboard working. Appreciate anyone's input on slightly off topic question. Mirone
Audio control is done by the monitor or tv, in not hackintoshes about how to obtain this audio control, at least for now.
Craig Pettigrove
Hi Mirone- With my sound should I be seeing Internal speakers under my output sound options? I have Audio Line out port. Can my analogue sound option work if I choose to boot with my GTX 760. Thanks.
Mirone
it is cosmetic, but you can use the onboard sound usually with their GTX760.
Craig Pettigrove
Thanks for the reply! That means I must be doing something wrong. When I boot with IGFX and plug in HDMI via Mobo - I can use the analogue out port on Mobo and get sound working. Once I change to connecting via my GTX 760 (PCIe as 1st boot), the same Audio Analogue out port does not give me sound. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this not possible. Hi Mirone, I have the same problem and I'm asking you where I can find your kext. Thanks and have a nice day . S. EDIT: I found it: AppleHDA-267.0-ALC898.zip Do I have just to install this with Kext Wizard and then to add that to Clover?
