Hardware:
GigaByte H67MA-USB3-B3
Core i5 2400 (Sandy Bridge)
ALC899
RTL8111E
EVGA GeForce GTX 760

I'm using Clover 2953 and Yosemite installer in an USB drive (using the createinstallmedia method).

I try to boot the installer with verbose mode, and quickly after "DSMOS has arrived" message is shown, the screen goes all black. There's still activity (led keeps blinking) in the USB drive.

According to Clover wiki, this a typical situation that a video card couldn't be initialized.

I've tried almost everything.

Changed Intel Injection to NO. Changed Nvidia Injection to YES.
Changed ProductName (under SMBIOS) to iMac12,2 (Clover is pre-defining my system as iMac12,1).
Changed from HDMI to DVI port.

Tried with npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000. Tried with PCIRootUID=1.
Tried with kext-dev-mode=1.

Nothing works.

Hello!

Try to follow the linked post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/300375-cant-install-black-screen/?p=2053705

Have fun.

I've managed to boot by changing SMBIOS ProductName entry to iMac13,2.

Although my CPU is Sandy Bridge, it's booted into the installer, but that's probably going to give me problems if I keep using like this after installer.

In my opinion, the main problem resides in SMBIOS configurations.

iMac12,2 is from a Sandy Bridge CPU, but with a Radeon GPU.

iMac 13,2 is from a Haswell CPU, but with a GeForce GTX GPU.
