iMessage not working on Mavericks since installing and using Yosemite on second PC

Hi,

Wondering if anyone is having the same problem I am having. I'm almost 100% certain its related to installing Yosemite and usingiMessage on it.

I was using iMessage successfully on Yosemite Beta for a few hours. After which I switched back to my Mavericks system but when I tried to use iMessage it will not sign in. I have tried changing the password but still not working. Its working fine on my iPhone. If any one can point me in the right direction it would be great.

depending on how far locked out your account it, you  will need to contact apple, ask to talk to a level 2 rep, and give them the 12 digit code to unlock your account. that lockout is to prevent mass authentication attacks, but if your system flags, then you have to call and get it unlocked.  it doesn't matter if you own a mac or not, it's a service for iMessage (the software) vs the hardware  when you give them your Apple ID they will be able to tell what Apple Hardware you own.

 

PS, I have had to do this 3 times in the last 6 weeks due to changing boot loader to ozmosis, and updating to Beta 2, also having the logic board changed out on my Macbook Pro... so Apple is dealing with allot of this, both with legit developers (on Apple certified hardware), and on hack hardware. I happen to do it both ways due to Power per dollar...
