Iryon
Hi all, I'm pretty new of this forum and I used only occasionally a Macbook before. My "actual" desktop build is: CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz CPU Cooler Zalman CNPS7000C Motherboard Asus P5KC RAM 2x2 OCZ Platinum DDR2 800mhz GPU Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 (OC with Arctic Accelero S1 Plus cooler + 2000 rpm Scythe fan GPU Cooler Arctic Accelero S1 Plus + Scythe fan 2000 rpm HDD Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB 7200rpm 32MB PSU LC-Power Titan 560W Case Thermaltake Swing w/ window MONITOR Samsung T23C350EW 1920x1080 / Acer X193W 1440:900 coming soon....SSD Samsung 840 Pro 250MB I know it's not a recent build, it's 5 years old but before buying a whole new desktop (and before raising funds for it) I would try OSX to learn more of it and to understand if it should be better for me for Home Recording (mainly Cubase, but i will try Logic as well)I'm actually running Windows 7 on this build and with the new SSD i would make a dual boot with Windows 7 (gaming and internet related) and OSX (only for the home recording). On the wiki i found a similar build working on OSX Lion 10.7.5 i'm wondering if i can run a more recent version of OSX. Thanks in advance

Iryon
Thanks a lot for the link, I must check deeper but I read that almost all my build seems compatible (and good) with OSX. My matter is more "which latest OSX I can run with my actual desktop" because I don't know/understand how the "hardware compatibility" works for the different releases of Mac OS X, if i lost some drivers with the recent releases or if there's a good retro-compatibility
Allan
so it I have sent you the link, based on your hardware you would know which OS X install. Old or New, in your case Mavericks run great.
