adobemaster
Hi guys, i got one quick question. i tried to change the agpm kext so i could have better perfomance with my nvidia gtx275, but the problem is when i did that, i got even lower perfomance then before. (using CUDA-Z for comparison and the game dota 2) I changed the values for the treshold high-low and the device id, but you may have a better look perhaps if you check the atached kext file. Does anyone have perhaps any suggestions? I have read most of the topics here about agpm, but still i can't get it managed to work. Thank you AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext.zip

adobemaster
I downloaded the legacy kext for 10.8.2 and i changed in the info.plist the device id and the SMproductname, but it wont boot up now properly. Things i didn't change are the treshold values and i didn't change the device id in the system agpm kext file. Altought, it may be because i didn't install it properly perhaps. It's just a drop and drop of the kext in the kext utility right? Any suggestions @artur-pt? Thank you LegacyAGPM.kext.zip
artur_pt
hello what i see u use macpro5,1 and Device05e6 .. is this ur dev id ? must use original AGPM from system if so try to boot -f or without caches (clover) try this one LegacyAGPM.kext.zip good hack
adobemaster
what do you mean by must use original agpm from system? i am using the original agpm kext, but i dont know do i have to update the device ID in the system agpm kext because it is not the same like in the picture attached to this reply. So to resume: -i must have both kext installed ( system agpm and this legacy apm) -both kext must have correct device ID for the graphic card (because the device ID in the system kext is wrong according to the system info) Am i correct? adobemaster
well, it doesnt matter i think because with both kext having the same threshold values, i'm having excellent perfomance in games so i think the gpu is working fine now. The problem with dota2 was it's not developed well for now. Thank you very much in any case @artur-pt
