holyfield
I installed Maveric successfully on my HP Pavilion dv7. Tested also Messages and worked. But when i tested it first I didn't had ethernet drivers installed. Later when I installed audio and ethernet drivers I 'm unable to use Messages. I got an error: "An error occurred during activation. Try again." I have tested several options, but without any luck. I'm sure that issue is related somehow to the Ethernet settings. But unable to solve issue. Any suggestions?

skierdorf
I had to do the following 1. NVRam fix 2. Remove all Network interfaces 3. Remove /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist 4. Reboot 5. Readd your Ethernet Network Interface. This must be en0. (not en1, en2...) That fixed it for me
holyfield
I fixed it now. I added the moduel //Extra/modules/FileNVRAM.dylib installed. Removed /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist Removed network interfaces from system prefs. But without the success. Addded into /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist Eth built in statement and voila, after reboot IMessage is fine! <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string>
colbygardner
When I go to re-add the Ethernet Network Interface in System Preferences > Network, I do not get an option to re-add ethernet. Did I miss something?
