Every single application now quits unexpectedly and does not launch. This is completely random. I changed NOTHING. NO new kexts, settings or bootflags. They just don't launch. I restart, and they still don't launch. Sometimes if I boot up, they will work but that's very rare to have the applications actually functioning. I can't run DSDTE, my DSDT Editor is completely buggy and won't do anything properly, Skype won't launch at all, Chrome won't launch at all, no 3rd party softwares will run at all. They all give me "Quit Enexpectedly"

This is a very stupid {censored} problem to have. Does anybody know how to fix this?

This is the report from one of these applications crashing.

I'm using a clean 10.6.8 installed via USB.

USB Installed 10.6.3 and I updated to 10.6.8 with Combo UP. Running legacy kernel on my AMD Machine.

I might be wrong but the AMD FX kernels are 10.7 & 10.8 based, that could be your problem. Try the Nawcom kernel but I would recommend 10.7 with your config as AMD has flaws with the HD5000 and above series graphics cards.

"With your config as AMD has flaws with HD5000 and above"
"flaws with HD5000 and above"
"HD5000 and above"

"above...above.....above.......above............above..."
*Flips Table* 2 weeks I've lost!!! I have an ISO for Mountain Lion right here, will that work?
I knew for some reason that I should have just gone with a later version of OS X. Lion or Mountain Lion? Which is more stable for AMD users?

Mountain Lion will work.... Your Graphics might be a bit corrupt as any nVidia or HD5000 and above.

Mountain Lion will be more stable as it is a newer kernel, but the graphics will be more stable on Lion.

No problem :)

If you swing into any problems, post on the AMD help.

The most active person with FX experience I think is gils83
