Hi,
I recently bought myself a nice little Lenovo U410
Specs:
- CPU type Intel Core i3 3217U (Ivy Bridge)
- CPU speed 1700 Mhz
- Graphics HD400/Nvidia GeForce 610M nvidia optimus
- RAM 8GB, 500GB HD, 24GB SSD
- Sound: 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family PCI Express High Definition Audio Controller (8086:1e20)
- LAN Realtek RTL8101E/RTL8102E (10ec:8136)
- Wifi: Some intel centrino chipset -> to be replaced
- Card reader
- 2x USB3 port (8086:1e31)
- 2x USB2 port
- Webcam
- Synaptic touchpad
As I understand, I dont need to care about the GeForce Optimus Card.
I did a ##### install using the Fusion guide and osx is running pretty stable. I had do do some patches in DSDT to get sleep working -> needed to patch UHCI to step down the (not working) USB3 ports to USB2 standards.
I needed to remove the XHCI kext from IOUSBFamily.kext to get the webcam working.
Some things are still bugging me:
- Is there a way to get my audio working without voodoohda? its working, but I cant autoswitch between earphone jack and internal speakers. Right now, I have to switch die output device thru system settings.
- brightness control is working, but I'd like to patch DSDT to set the control to a few steps. Right now, I dont see the OSD when I change brightness thru fn keys and since this Ultrabook has numerous steps between full and lowest brightness, it takes almost 20 secs to get from one end to the other.
- Cant get the ethernet to show up in system settings...
Other than that this little thing is awesome...
Cheers,
Mike

Ok, got Ethernet to show up in System Preferences...
I installed Apple8169Ethernet.kext and voila, Ethernet is showing up. Now I have access to App Store. Don´t know if Ethernet is actually working, but since I use wifi only, I don´t care :-)
OSD for brightness control left to be fixed

Hi,
made my audio device show up in System Information.
I still get some errors while booting, so I still dont have audio thru applehda.kext. But I'm getting closer somehow :-)
