I got it to boot fine, going to the installer selected hard drive clicked install and I get this error "The Mac OS X installation couldn't be completed."

B4 clicking HD. turn on the verbose install log from the menu bar first to see what the error is. HD reformatted as guid, hfs+ in disk utility first?

I had a similar problem too... try install DP1 first.. then install DP3 over the same drive.... (I did install DP2 over DP1... and then DP3 over DP2)
