Nvidia 6200TE Problem with Display

Basically i have struggled forever (or it seems) with this card.

I know its old - but its what is in my laptop and i have no way of changing it.

I get the screen fine when remoting to the machine.

but locally i get either a white out or multiple vertical lines of color down the screen, Sometimes there black lines, sometimes multi colored, sometimes black with a few red virtical lines.

I am pretty sure its a dst thing (not my strong point to be sure)

as the kexts seem to load ok and give me different resolutions on the remote screen (screen share via another apple).

When remoting the icons do appear to be washed out a lot too if that helps?

OS X 10.6.0 10.6.1 10.6.2 10.6.3 and now 10.6.8 installed but all the same result on graphics.

Graphics ID is

Generic NVIDIA:

Chipset Model: Generic NVIDIA

Type: GPU

Bus: PCIe

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 128 MB

Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Device ID: 0x0146

Revision ID: 0x00a2

ROM Revision: NVinjectGo 0.2.0

Displays:

Display Connector:

Display Connector:

really any help here appreciated greatly

Scan lines like that I haven't ever heard of being a DSDT problem, more like problems with the card itself :/ Does it display properly in linux/windows? (If you have only OS X try it on a linux live CD)

Aside from that, I'd say try to do it without kexts. In my experience kexts are the most unreliable video solution. I would delete the kext (backup of course) and try instead GraphicsEnabler=Yes in the chameleon .plist or adding your card's EFI to the .plist.
