  1. Ive been trying to get Lion to have QE/CI on my 06e4 XFX card on 7.5. I can get full resolution using this meathod but no QE/CI. Any ideas?
  2. Basically i have struggled forever (or it seems) with this card. I know its old - but its what is in my laptop and i have no way of changing it. I get the screen fine when remoting to the machine. but locally i get either a white out or multiple vertical lines of color down the screen, Sometimes there black lines, sometimes multi colored, sometimes black with a few red virtical lines. I am pretty sure its a dst thing (not my strong point to be sure) as the kexts seem to load ok and give me different resolutions on the remote screen (screen share via another apple). When remoting the icons do appear to be washed out a lot too if that helps? OS X 10.6.0 10.6.1 10.6.2 10.6.3 and now 10.6.8 installed but all the same result on graphics. Graphics ID is Generic NVIDIA: Chipset Model: Generic NVIDIA Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 128 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0146 Revision ID: 0x00a2 ROM Revision: NVinjectGo 0.2.0 Displays: Display Connector: Display Connector: really any help here appreciated greatly
  3. Resolution and Network

if the network worked before then simply delete the rtl8xxx.kext from your machine. All i can suggest is to use the search at the top of the forum to search for the model name of the devices you are trying to install and use more accurate drivers (kexts) to get your hardware working. Not much help but a start.
  4. Lion on GA-X58A-UD3 R1

I have Lion installed ok on my system. I have a niggling problem i would like some help with. Its to do with running in 64bit mode My graphics cards are 2x XFX (10de:06e4) nvidia 8400gs when i run in 32 bit mode - all my 4 screens work fine. (with the help of XDarwin Nvidia Installer V 1.1 OSX.mpkg) When i run 64bit i only get the main screen working. ( now i take it that the XDarwin is not 64 compatable. I tried to use NVEnabler64 but my system crashes with "you need to power off your mac" when coming up to load the desktop. has anyone else had luck with multi 8400gs cards in 64 bit?? Thanks for your time peeps eX
  5. mite sound a little stupid, but have you checked the permissions on the .app folder, as the error is a permissions one. try setting the permissions below and see if it helps at all. sudo -s password chmod -R 755 /PATH/TO/APPLICATION/FOLDER/PAC\ THE\ MAN\ X/ chown -R root:admin /PATH/TO/APPLICATION/FOLDER/PAC\ THE\ MAN\ X/ Then try running it again, If it still fails try doing a new screenshot but extend the width of the console message as we can not see the full error only the ..... after a certain point hope it helps
  6. [RESOLVED] PCI Card RTL8139

Tried this myself as i was getting the kernel errors on my 8139 too. It would not work for me until i renamed it with AppleRTL..... It was only after diskutil repaired the permissions and it would still not work (unknown state of network) that i used kextutil to repair the permissions and reboot = Now works great (well as it should) ;-) Using 10.6.8 Snow Leopard / Lion Dual Boot Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Intel 950 i7 Quad/Oct CPU overclocked to 3.8Ghz Relatek 8139 PCI additional Nic 9GB Corsair RAM 5.5Tb Drive space. 3x Acer 23" TFT Screens
  7. [Solved] Only bootloader on USB works.

at the top of the page there is an options button on the right of the header of the first post. click this and select display mode "standard" then you should see all the posts in a thread.
  8. I am trying to get my Nvidia Geforce MSI 7300 LE 128mb cards working. Never mind getting them with QE/CI i can only get one card working with no QE/CI I have tried EFI injectors as well as DSDT hacks and also EFI hex codes in the com.apple.Boot.plist but all to no avail. my cards reside on 0x01 0x0b and 0x0c as found by lspci info i have also removed and inserted the cards one by one and used the gfxutil -f display to confirm the addresses but 2 of the 3 still will not even power up unless they are the only card installed. I have also 2 Geforce 8800gts 640mb cards and could not get QECI on them either. My mainboard is GA-790FXTA-ud5 if it helps and i have 10.6.7 and 10.6.5 installed on two partitions. everything else is working fine on the install, just graphics to sort. i feel i have tried everything but am getting nowhere at all now. i know that there are a lot of requests for graphics cards and believe me i feel i have tried them all, but i really would appreciate someone who can point me in a direction i have not taken. I only bought the 7300 cards as the HCL looked as if they where all working with nvinject. please someone stop me pulling out my hair. (its getting very thin) Excalibre

  14. Can I Have Some Help Please

you can not enter any information or commands because you have a kernel panic, this is the equivalent to a windows blue screen of death,a system crash. i take it that you are booting from the install media when this panic occurs? what you need to do is find a mac boot disc such as chameleon in iso format - burn it to cd and boot from it. then when it boots. select your mac install disk and try the -s (single user) command from there. hope this helps.
  15. sorry forgot to mention that if the card is inactive - removed and is not re-found then i would find the machine make model. or motherboard model and get the details from google or manufacturers website to find out the nic installed. then search for a kext to match.
