jtp.redson
Is DP2's kernel patched with "lapic fix"? I have to keep using "cpus=1" at boot time and it results in only 1 core being used as opposed to 4 cores (8 threads) on a Sandy bridge core i7 hp laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. eep357
Why would a release from apple have a patched kernel?
jtp.redson
You're right. I was just wondering if a patched kernel is available. I also see that kernel source for 10.8 is not available yet so I can not even patch it. Guess I will have to live with cpus=1 for now or try to patch my bios or even patch it in the bootloader.
