Enable ACPI APIC, ACPI 2.0 and all advanced CPU features (except CPUID Limit) in the BIOS.

Shut down is an ACPI power state - try to get native power management working in OS X.
Start with the LPC device DSDT patch I linked to above.

It's also possible that it's an issue with your video card. A fast way to test this theory is trying another video card if you can.

What kext do you use for P5Q-E with Lion.

I'm trying everything but don't work.

could you provide your IOPCIFamily.kext ?
i still get the panic when i try to boot the System.
i already also used the netkas.org IOPCIFamily.kext but it didnt work too.
so maybe yours could help to get my system running.
(if its just the P5Q, not P5Q Pro or something like that.)

I only have the P5Q, NOT Pro. these are the kexts I use in S/L/E. I do not have any kexts in E/E. The colored are from the community. The non-colored is the original from ML. You should post a screen shot and maybe the community can help.

hey! i had no IOPCIFamily.kext panic anymore since i added these to the system. but i had to replace 3 files to get the Setup show up since my old graphicscard (GT430) only worked with them. Now the System SEEMS to work but no Video is shown up since i bought a new Graphicscard today (GTX550 TI (confirmed to run OOB)). so i don't wanna disturb you in any way but maybe you could provide me these 3 Files?

NVDAResman.kext
NVDANV50Hal.kext
NVDAGF100Hal.kext

these the ones i replaced on my USB Stick (the Setup was not working with my old GT430 so i needed to replace these Files and it worked. But now with the new GTX550 TI i guess i need the original ones back.).
now the setup wont show up too so i guess its now these kexts that interrupt me.
