eypuff
Hi, I'm having some problems with my SSD drive. I have OCZ Vertex 3 connected to my Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 (F9) mobo through the Intel Z68 Chipset (Port: SATA3_0) I'm getting great read speeds, but my write speed is nowhere near where it should be. Can anyone shed some light on what the problem might be? Thanks in advance, EY And here are some screenshots that might help:
toronto240z
Did you figure it out? I am having the same issue with the exact same MB and SSD
eypuff
actually i did. i found that, the write speed vs read speed is normal. the only way to increase the write speed is by using a raid installation.
Elnorel
Lol you have a blazing fast speed compared to Intel SSDs so don't fret you over achiever.
k4r1m2
weird.. I have a an agility 3 which uses the same controller and I'm also getting weird results... AJA is reporting "normal" sata 3 speeds but blackmagic disk almost got me thinking my drive is running in sata 2, I'm also using a Z68 board p8z68v gen3 JM626 I think
Noisema
I'm using an P6X58D-E with an OCZ Vertex 2 and I got lowered speed in the Black Magic Disk Speed Test too, I think I first noticed when I had 10.7.2 installed. I know for sure that it worked perfectly under 10.6.8 resulting in read speeds of 275 MB/s . For now 10.7.2 boots really fast like 10.6.8 used to do, so I'm wondering if there is an compatibility problem with Black Magic's tool and 10.7.
