You are using a graphics card which is not supported by Snow Leopard. Why use a modern GPU on an old OS X version? It does not make sense. Install Mountain Lion. It has native support for this card. No modifications, ATY_Init, Ati rom, or AtiConfig will be needed since the device id is built into Mountain Lion. I have that exact same card and can not see the point in trying to force it to work with an OS that clearly does not and will not support it. There are some who have made it work with a lot of modifications, but still, why go through all that trouble for an old OS?

10.6.7 Added support.

The Framebuffer is not loaded. Go to my Sig and find DSDT injection for AMD cards and follow the guide. After that the card will work normally.

Subxero, some people need to use Power PC applications since they are not advaliable for Intel. There is nothing wrong in still using SL.
