Hi guys, i m unable to run my hackintosh in 64bit mode. i have installed iAtkos 10.6.3.

My config is

Motherboard- Gigabyte G41M combo

RAM- 4Gb

Graphics- Nvdia 9500GT.

I have already tested it by editing the file com.apple.plist by putting arch=x86_64 but no result. i edited both the files from systemconfig folder and Extra folder but no result. i have also tested putting the tick mark of ##### in 64bit Apple boot but no result also.

Why this is happening, and how to solve it?

Is 4GB Ram capable or not to run the 64bit os x?

Do i need more RAM to run in 64bit?

if i use 32bit os x it also show me 4GB or 8GB(i m telling it for another machine which have 8gb) of Ram, is its mean that 32bit os x r using my full 8gb RAM? isnt it needed 64bit os x for 8gb RAM?

Pls pls pls solve my problem. i m stuck with this.

Thanks in advance.

Can you please include your processor model information?

Yes sur, i m using currently intel Core i7 970 processor.

OS X is not Windows.

As long as your CPU has the EM64T instruction set, OS X can use up to 32GB RAM and run 64-bit applications in 32-bit mode.

And is there any difference starting up my hackintosh system in 32bit or 64bit? if so what is that? is there any application performance difrenc? is there any system performance difference? what if i stat my system in 32bit mode? could i be able to get performance of my full 16gb RAM in 32bit mode?

Thanks again sir.
