Hey.

I am trying to intall Lion for days now - no success. My problem is:

I am preparing the USB drive ( i´ve tried MYHack, Kakewalk and the "normal" DiskUtility way) but:

Every time i plug in the USB drive my System freezes!?

For Example: When i boot with the USB in, my PC stuck at the very first pic (this one says: "hit del to enter setup")

OR: I am in bios - and put in the USB drive - i can´t press any buttons!

OR: I boot with ##### - when putting the USB drive in - FREZZE.

Please help me out - i am trying to install LION for DAYS!

thnx, ju

Hi,

I also have IP35 Pro with latest BIOS ( more then 2 years old, abit stopped manufacturing motherboards ^_^ )

I think problem is with Mac file system, BIOS can't recognize it...

Windows 7 installation from USB stick is fine.

I don't have time, I hope you find solution soon :)

Check out this thread here:

The original poster alludes to a possible BIOS bug with grub/grub4dos code in the MBR of a USB stick. I've experienced the same problem just this weekend while trying to load FreeBSD on my ABit IP35 Pro, and was able to consistently reproduce it by putting grub/grub4dos directly in the MBR of any USB stick. If you can, try chainloading from syslinux or another boot loader to work around the issue.
