VoodooHDA = Kernel panic , AppleHDArollback  and etc = no sound

tried some kexts for 889 , and i only get audio if i select Internal Speaker , the sound on my headphones doesn't sound clear

try this:

889kext with Apple HDA and HDAEnabler


just dont use the DSDT file thats included.. but use everything else.

the same.. can't get output on both lineout ... only getting sound on internal speaker  setting

hmm.. wonder if hdmi sound or digital/spdif sound works

You likely need both ALC8xxHDA and the HDA rollback, that's what I needed for my SPDIF setup.  Also be sure to check in System Preferences to make sure the right output is selected.

how do i revert to the vanilla AppleHDA that came with lion.. if i did a HDArollback

btw.. any news on new versions VoohooHDA for lion
