it can be launched... up to selecting the drive and then restart.... nothing happened..I am still in 11A459e!!!
Here is a way to do it....
you have to create a USB flash disk like what has been done when installing DP2
in summary
a. mount the DP4 disk
b. show hidden files and use Disk Utility to restore the BaseSystem.dmg to the USB flash
c. copy PACKAGES. to /system/Installation/ (remove packages shortcut there) and the Kernel to root of the USB flash .
d. Install to USB drive the Chameleon and copy your Extra folder in DP3 to your USB drive
e. save up the Kexts that you have changed in DP3 (as it will be overwritten -- my case : AppleHDA, IONetworkfamily)
f.Reboot with the USB flash and install over the DP3 drive.
g. Reboot the DP3 drive... now you have DP4 updated.... reinstall the Kexts you backup in (e).
ALL YOUR INSTALLED SOFTWARES AND DOCUMENTS .... ARE THERE.
it is great..encourage all to upgrade.

As for step e) you could always install those kexts with KextWizard on the USB drive prior to install
That's what I did!
