My iMac Intel (iMac 10,1) is running OS X 10.6.6.
The hard disk reports S.M.A.R.T. failure, but at the same time, I was able to reinstall Mac OS X several times.
Needless to say, Lion refuses to install, because of S.M.A.R.T...
So what do I do?

SMART error shows a hardware problem, sooner or later the hard disk won`t work, backup your info and change it as soon as possible.
