creepyoldguy
i can't get any farther in my career without having my own final cut/ pro tools setup, but i don't have $3000 for a macbook pro. i was hoping y'all could advise me on the very best pc notebook to buy in terms of osx86 compatible hardware and for running high intensity apps like final cut HD. i'm trying to stay in the $1500 range. thanks! boo50
i'm too seaching for the same notebook, but it seems what no one 100% compatible now. plus the main point - is to unable to use dual core laptops (i mena you must use only one core in mac os)
jodo
I've heard the MacBook seems to be nearly as good as the MBP for FinalCut & Co...
munky
Yeah, for CPU-bound tasks, the MacBook and MacBook Pro are pretty evenly matched. Might be worth looking into... If you can handle performance 'only' comparable to a dual processor G5, it might be acceptable... http://www.creativemac.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=43717
rogabean
I have to agree with everyone. Go with a MacBook. You will get what you should need for performance and be legit. If this is for your career I would not recommend going any other way.
