cable909
Weird, After a rebuild cinebench score of 14.4, Bad Deal! Are you sure all the ATIRadeonX* kexts are installed properly, particularly ATIRadeonX3000.kext? I noticed that without ATIRadeonX3000.kext installed graphics would would work but would be "degraded" (no animations minimizing stuff, jpg's wouldn't load in Preview, etc.) Additionally someone had asked for an ioreg dump. Its attached. ioreg.txt.zip

Its attached. Just a heads up that I upgraded to 10.6.5 without any incidents on the graphics side. OpenGL performance was about the same (22.9 after the upgrade, 23.04 before) I had some issues with bluetooth and my wireless card that were fixed by using the IO80211Family.kext from 10.6.4. xenophex
Guys, Maybe you could help me shed some light on something. I have my Apple ATI 5770 working fine on my UD5 gigabyte board. I recently got a UD7 and a i7 980X and I'm having the same things happening highlighted in this post. My gut was telling me it was Chameleon. - I'm booting in x86_32 - I've altered ATY_Init.kext to "Hoolock" - GraphicsEnabler is No - I can see the card posted in "About This Mac", but it doesn't register my displays - By pulling out a Mini DisplayPort and putting it back in, my remote session went to 2560x1440, but the monitor did not come on. - I see it post and can hear the UI sounds so I know the OS is up, but the monitor is just not getting a signal. Any retraceable steps, distro's of Chameleon or comments on what might be throwing this off. Again I got this working on my UD5 but I was using Chameleon RC4. I went back to RC4 r684 (from RC5 r693+) and it stopped panic'ing on the ATI3000 kext. OSX 10.6.6 Used. My Cinebench Score on my UD5 w/ i7 920:
cable909
Seems like 5770 works out of the box on Lion (see comments): http://netkas.org/?p=
