  1. Mines now showing up on my X99 Deluxe. My HyperX Kingston works at about 900-1100MB/s read/write. I put mine both in the onboard m.2 slot and in the Hyper PCIe card and neither spot showed the Samsung EVO 960 500GB. There is like no way to tell if this chip is ok and $250 is a lot to wait on a BIOS update or some other magic. Think I might just return/exchange mine.
  2. Thanks! My USB 3.0 now can mount drives again. I had to laugh too because my new MacBook Pro 15" could only run at 40MB/s on a Orico USB 3.0 drive bay with a SSD in it. Plugged it into my Hack and it goes 280MB/s. Needless to say I'm getting a new USB 3.0 Bay from OWC. Appears to use a 106x ASMedia interface maybe unsupported.
  3. I notice with clover the driver OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi was doing this to me. I have a Nvidia 970GTX card so I ended up using a different Test2.efi from https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/tickets/125/supplied by Nick on that ticket made my system more reliable on boot. However, after upgrading Clover to 3330 I went back to having issues again, and had to return to OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi which a % of the time panics in the same spot. Just sharing my feedback getting that panic randomly. Its a odd one. I was running npci=0x2000
  4. [How to]Clover on EFI partition/Add to Bios

@LexHimself - thanks for the tips on formatting the EFI partition. I had my M2 SSD quit working right after I added another drive in my system. I was pretty confused what happened, but a USB Stick saved the day. Booted back up, applied the formatting and re-installed Clover. All better.
  5. I just remembered, I was running a Mac Pro 6,1 profile and had edited my AppleGraphicsControl.kext. Checking post update now. Yep false alarm. All 3 monitors popped up. I am putting a sticky note on my desk! Quick reminder for anyone using MacPro 6,1 SMBios you need to remember to update your AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/Plugins/AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext/Contents/Info.plist. <key>Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6</key><string>none</string>
  6. Prior I was running 10.10.4 w/ 346.01.03f01 and was running ok. After updating to 10.10.5 and then 346.02.03b01, also gave f01 a shot and it isn't working right. No video on boot.
  7. I updated to 10.10.5 and had to update Nvidia Drivers as they were not compatible with the OS Version. After I updated the Nvidia Web Drivers and rebooted I no longer had video signals on any of the outputs of the video card. I can Screen Share in to make adjustments thankfully but I guess its time to wait for another patch.
  8. x99 IOBluetoothFamily.kext issue

I've got a X99-Deluxe. I used RampageDev's config (google 'rampagedev x99') and got pretty much everything working. My onboard bluetooth was a bit buggy during a full speed network transfer, so I just decided to disable it in the BIOS and use a IOGear bluetooth adaptor. I had some random boot allocation errors that appeared to be caused by the OsxAptioDrv driver, but found a thread on sourceforge that had an alternate one for people that use 2 video cards and it fixed my issue. Seems rock solid now. https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/tickets/125/. I used the Test2.efi from Nicks blog. https://nickwoodhams.com/x99-hackintosh-solving-osxaptiofixdrv-allocaterelocblock-can-not-allocate-relocation-block/
  9. Yeah its my PNY 970GTX 4GB. I tried to figure out what was making iMessage crash. Seemed to be when someone was typing and right as I got the message. Safari was just random but matched your crash report.
  10. I keep getting core graphic crashes. iMessage and Safari both crash repeatedly on f02. Reverted to f01, rebuilt caches, back to normal.
  11. How do I overclock with Clover?

Least on my Asus X99 Deluxe I had to flip the TPU switch to II, and bang it got the ratio boosts.
  12. Quick question, I setup my Asus X99 Deluxe as a MacPro6,1 and modified the distribution to allow me to install it. I have a PNY 970GTX 4GB w/ 3 mini displayport outputs, mini-HDMI and a DVI. DVI seems to operate as primary on boot connected to a 2560x1440 monitor. Mini Displayport works but the 2 between don't. I haven't tried the HDMI yet. I tried a iMac14,2 and MacPro5,1 profile but it had no effect. Is there any other tricks to getting the ports to recognize? I've got 2 Apple Cinema Displays I'd like to run. I also notice the Web Driver preference pane doesn't seem to retain the Web Driver setting, but it appears to be using the drivers as the monitors are at full resolution and animations work. Thanks, Mark [sOLVED] I had checked "Nvidia" in Clover. I unchecked it and bang all the monitors came up.
  13. Asus X99 Deluxe + 5960x - Stuck, please help!

I'm about to do this with a Asus X99 Deluxe and a 5930K. I know on my last hack the PCI Configuration Begins message required a rollback to the ACPI 10.9.5, but on this system it may require deleting it all together. I won't get to have all this fun for a couple days but looking forward to getting it working. Still gotta wrap up the wiring/cable management.
  14. Hi, I've got a 980x in my X58A-UD7 and it works awesome. It was pretty temperamental just to get the thing to run stable via BIOS settings. I had to read a bit online, do the math and come up with the right voltages/memory etc values. I got it running since 10.6.4 around 4.12Ghz rock solid. Geekbench hit about 20K with ease. I ran 1600Mhz ram like a moron, should got 1800Mhz but its not the end of the world. For awhile I thought it was solid till I tried to export some video and crashed during. I tweaked some of the memory settings since I was use to how easy the i7 920 was on my UD5 (4.2Ghz rock solid) 13996 Geekbench. Gotta be very careful if you use someone else's DSDT. I had tried some others from tonymacx86 and though they booted the CPU temps sucked. Running like 45 - 55C. I found a X58A-UD7 high end met 980 DSDT on http://www.kexts.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=706, but again this is for a UD7 and the boards aren't the same. CPU runs at 25C as we speak (68-70 ambient), and at about 74-75 ambient temp its about 29C. I couldn't find anything for a UD5 off hand, but there are some resources online for entry's you can make in a clean DSDT for your UD5 to support 6 cores, speedstep etc ... http://www.kexts.com/guides-tutorials/7355...-ex58a-ud5.html Good luck
