I know this is an old issue but is there an actual fix other than deleting AppleTYMCE Kext (as this seems to stop SpeedStepping) or changing to another MacPro ID?

The 4.1 Speedstep dummy kext will allow me to keep ApplyTY or just fix it once it's gone? I'm reading through 'em now. Cheers for the links. :D

You're welcome. I can't offer any further help, I have never used MacPro4,1 as model identifier myself.
