hersh
Dear all! I am wondering if anyone has been able to successfully install and use Shake and FCP on Mac OS x running on Intel hardware. I don't need to dual boot or do any of that fancy stuff -just need Shake and FCP to run flawlessly. I also don't have any compulsions in terms of what hardware I must use. I will just get whatever Intel-based hardware that works best with Mac OS x. Of course I could just buy Yonah/Conroe-based machines from Apple directly -but then again, that is not the idea here. Thanks in advance for your suggestions/advice. Hersh
skeeter144
I don't know about FCP, but Shake 4.1 seems to work good as long as you have CI/QE support.

KTC, You seem to have an interesting rig up there. Do you have any benchmark figures? I mean I would want to know the difference between that P 930 and a P 630 (dual core HT vs single core HT) Regards, EPDM
