msingh
Thanks to this kext, my Dell D830's sound works, most of the time. Sometimes I find that the sound is crackly (nothing recognizable coming out the speakers). Then I have to: $ sudo kextunload /Extra/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext <a bunch of errors indicating that it cannot be unloaded> $sudo kextload /Extra/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext I have the kext symlinked into /S/L/E. Once I do this, I can sound back. Has anyone seen this, or is there a prefpane setting that I need to set ?
