InternalModemSupport.kext does not declare a kernel dependency

I get this on bootup....

 

/System/Library/Extensions/IOSerialFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/InternalModemSupport.kext does not declare a kernel dependency; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.

 

kernel Warning - com.apple.driver.InternalModemSupport declares no kernel dependencies; using com.apple.kernel.6.0.

 

 

Can I just delete this kext to speed up my boot or does it serve a purpose....???
