I want to do this without making any mistakes. Can someone guide me?

I have Windows 7 Ultimate latest release, an Intel Core 2 Duo laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-N31S).

How do I install SL onto my laptop along with my old W7 with all my files and software unaffected and me being able to dualboot the two OSs safely and quickly?

I also have an external storage drive of 320GB.

Thanks

ok... you would want to do tests on the external first... You will need to make say, 3 partitions, one 20GB for leopard, 10GB or a 8 gb flash drive, to put an image of the install disk onto...

Find one of the guides on the forums, find one with lots of steps..

If you manage to get it working properly on the external, then you could try partitioning the internal... This could risk data though

Also, there are still errors and issues with snow, so safely may not be 100% guaranteed...

I have one laptop, one external 320GB hardrive with some data and one 2 GB usb flash stick.

My laptop have a lot of data that I need. It has one 30 GB partition for Windows 7. It has one 20 GB partition for windows XP which I need. I also have two extra partitions which I need but have shrunk some free space so I now have two partitions of unallocated space, one is 11GB and the other is 13. What do I do now? And please give me a link to the most appropriate guide. I don't to make any mistakes

at the current time there is no specific guide for many boards... they are all quite general and require a lot of self research, and in many cases, some new drivers which don't exist...

I don't recommend that you do do it internally, as there are errors which could damage/corrupt/change data. I had a small 80GB become corrupt of an error after i modified a kext (however it was a drive driver kext)... Also, until recently, everyone;s CSMOS would reset on reboot... Not all hardware is supported. However, if you want to risk it.... here are some links

Hackintosh search.... searches all mac related forums, there may be better info on other forums

Or just search the forums, guides are starting to pop up quite fast...

If you cannot patch it etc yourself... there is a early distro that has become available... i will pm the link...
