How to make mac start up sound

If we could make our hackintosh sound like a mac on start up it would almost complete our goal of 100% mac conversion.

Well you could put the MP3 in your list of startup items, but you can't get it to play as soon as your PC turns on, because on real macs, the sound is stored in the EEPROM.

hi... what particular folder should i drop the MP3 as a startup????... is this the software solution to this startup chime???

can this also be a shutdown chime???
