Laffo Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 I changed my graphics card from a 1900xt to HD4870, but osx wont boot anymore. I can however boot up in my 'utility' partition to make changes. zuz_242 Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 i dont know about the rest of your system, but for removing the drivers, you got to delete the (/all) ati*.kexts and natit.kext in the extensions folder. next reboot should be done with -f to clear the cache. you get a "vesa" mode without gfx aceleration. it might be a good idea to back up the deleted kexts first, using e.g. osx86tools. you even might try to update you drivers / install new ones from your utility partition.
